  • Keep treats to less than 10% of the total diet. I know, it’s hard!

When you give your dog their treats will have a big impact on their behaviour. Ideally you want to link the reward of the treat with a good behaviour. So the best time to reward your dog is immediately after they do what you ask of them.

For example, ask your dog to sit, and when they do immediately give them a small treat. Doing this over time reinforces the command and lets your dog know it’s what you would like them to do when you say “sit”.

Keep in mind the reverse is also true! Never give your dog a treat if they are being demanding or acting up. Doing so just reinforces that activity.

For best results, ask your dog to sit and wait for them to be calm before giving any treats.

Manually expressing healthy anal glands can cause long term trauma, which often results in inflammation, infection and reoccurring health problems.
Our supplier had organic purple carrots this week, so we had to give them a try! They have twice the amount of carotene and more antioxidants than regular orange carrots, while looking more like a beetroot. Pretty interesting mix and they smell delic
